The tours at Hoedspruit Reptile Centre have been specifically designed to accommodate a broad spectrum of visitors. We always aim to exceed the needs and expectations of our guests. Please see the list below of the various tours we offer at Hoedspruit Reptile Centre.

General Visitors
This is a self-guided visit where you can walk through the Centre on your own and view the many spectacular animals on display. Although the Centre does not have tour guides, the HRC family is always willing to help with any questions that you may have.
We do not have set times for shows or demonstrations, but our staff will let you know if there is a demonstration or feeding event during your visit.
- R110 per Adult, age 13+
- R55 per Child, ages 4-12
- Children Under 4 Free
- No booking necessary for general admission
We are open from 8am to 5pm, every day of the year, including holidays.
School Tours
- R35 per pupil (Grade 7 and up)
- R30 per pupil (up to Grade 7)
- 1 adult is admitted free of charge for every 20 students; thereafter each adult is charged R35
- Advanced booking required
Demonstration Package
This Hoedspruit Reptile Centre package offers visitors an exclusive live snake demonstration after having done a self-guided tour of the Centre’s amazing displays. This package is primarily geared towards tour operators.

Interactive Tour
Hoedspruit Reptile Centre’s Interactive Tour is designed to allow you (or your guests) the opportunity to experience a deeper understanding and appreciation of our animals in an up-close and personal setting through interactions with live and museum specimens.
Please note that we prioritise the health and welfare of our animals and therefore depending on group size and the animals involved, not every guest may be able to interact with each animal star, however everyone will get the opportunity to take great photos.
Our Interactive tour also includes a guided walk through the Centre with one of our curators.

Photographic Tour
This tour is a truly unique experience for anyone interested in photography, reptiles and nature. You will have a personal guide and handler watching over each reptile star, giving you background information on the species as well as an opportunity to photograph animals outside of their enclosures in a natural or studio settings. As a result, this tour will enable you to get that perfect shot as well as the opportunity to get creative with some macro photography.
The tour not only includes the opportunity to photograph reptiles, but also various insects and arachnids.
Photographic tours can be tailored to individual interest but to ensure this please contact us at least two weeks prior to your desired session. Please understand that our animal’s health and welfare as well as your safety are our priority therefore no animals will be harmed or unduly stressed for the benefit of a photograph. Please let us know if you have any special requirements and we will let you know what is possible.

Destination/Corporate Talks
Hoedspruit Reptile Centre can also bring the excitement to you!
With our Destination/Corporate Talks package HRC offers the opportunity for organizations, schools, lodges etc. to allow their visitors, guests, clients or pupils the chance to interact with reptiles and other interesting animals at the destination of your choice.
One of our dedicated staff members will bring with them a variety of animals and offer you the chance to have a live animal demonstration, interaction and question and answer session from the site of your choice.
